Informatics Education & Training

Joint Graduate Program in Bioinformatics

In 2003, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) established a joint graduate program in bioinformatics, offering both master’s and doctorate degrees. The collaborative program is built on the strengths of both universities, namely information and computer science, biology, chemistry, mathematics and statistics at UALR and biomedical research and biostatistics at UAMS.

Information Quality Courses

In collaboration with UALR, the Comprehensive Informatics Resource Center periodically offers introductory courses in information quality to the UAMS campus. Courses are designed to give participants knowledge and skills to apply state-of-the-art data quality techniques to research data.
