Advice & Consultation

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) was developed to help clinical and translational research investigators and their staff navigate the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) research infrastructure. Investigators are encouraged to contact the TRI with inquiries or assistance.


  • Assess researchers’ needs
  • Guide and connect researchers to available resources
  • Facilitate access to UAMS and TRI resources available for clinical and translational research
  • Facilitate the progress of translational research from conception to analysis to publication of data
  • Advocate for researchers and research staff, breaking down barriers to facilitate research

The Translational Research Institute (TRI) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program, grants UL1TR000039 and KL2TR000063. The CTSA program is led by the NIH’s National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
